You will be greeted by the drummer on the drawbridge and escorted into the Castle. Upon your arrival in the banquet hall the Lady or the Lord of the Castle will welcome you and your guests in a medieval manner suited to your special occasion.
The menu will be read to you along with the courses served and you will be told how to behave at the table.
Another important part of the greeting is the historical hand washing ceremony: “Every polite host should offer his guests the opportunity to wash their hands at the table, as we will now do with aromatic water.”
